Weather File Analyzer

Post by Michael Hurd »

Has anyone been successful in using the weather file analyzer provided in the WUFI classes here in the United States? I sat with Achilles the last time he was here in Dallas, walked through the procedure to extract the data from the NOAA weather cd's for use in the Weather file analyzer and have never been successful in its use - I sent the following email to Achilles also:

"Achilles, I have been trying to get the weather file analyzer to extract data from the NOAA cd we purchased so that I can add additional cities to our WUFI library. To date I have been unsuccessful in this effort. I even sat with you for quite some time the last time we had a WUFI class here in the HKS offices at Dallas and we walked through the procedure using the program that appears on the NOAA cd. What I am wondering is if somebody has a step by step procedure outlined to follow to accomplish this? When I do what you and I discussed and try the weather file analyzer I get the following error message “ Run Time Error ‘13’ Type Mismatch”. I think that possibly I may be selecting a field incorrectly when I tag/untag the appropriate elements for the analyzer? There seems to be a Cloud Index string of data that the weather file analyzer needs that WUFI does not need – it is unclear to me which element is specifically represents the Cloud Index, possibly this is where I am falling short."

If anyone has been able to make this work and knows the specific procedure I'd sure like to here about it! Let me know!
Respectfully,
