dehumidification option

Post by kondan »

I tried to incorporate the dehumidification option in simulation of basement structure. I ran analysis and appears there is no moisture removal at all. I sepcified the schedules and amount of moisture to be removed each hour under equipment menu. For some reason the model is not reading these values. Is there any fix for this problem or is it some bug? I don't see any other place where I can specify the dehumifidication except in equipment menu.

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks.

I assume that you mean with "dehumidification option" you choose the "Relative Humidity Control" as ventilation control. If this is the case, please make sure that you define an appropriate maximum relative humidity as design condition. Furthermore please make sure, that you also define an appropriate capability of the ventilation system (Inner Climate -> Equipment -> Capability of Ventialtion System). Only if the ventilation system has the capability to ventilate at a higher rate than your standard ventilation rate you can change the humidity conditions with the "Relative Humidity Control" (always under the assumption that with your used climate conditions your exterior absolute humidity is lower than the interior).

If I assumed wrong and you really defined a "Dehumidification capability" and still do not see any effect please contact us again. We do not find any problem if we run test cases that use the dehumidification and no other users had problems with that option.
