Hello,
On multiple occasions (including only a couple of months ago), I have used the "CreateClimateFile" Excel sheet from WUFI tools to convert CSV climate data files to WAC files for boundary condition input in WUFI.
Yesterday, I tried to use the CreateClimateFile document, and an error message popped up saying:
"Run-time error '68': Device Unavailable"
I have attached a screenshot of the message. I see there was a similar post in 2023, but upon that review, it still doesn't work.
I enabled macros for the excel sheet, and have it all set up like I previously did. I also downloaded the most recent version of the CreateClimateFile here: https://wufi.de/en/service/downloads/, but it still does not work.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben

Re: CreateClimateFile Run-time Error: Macros not Working
Hi,
this file wants to create the wac-file in the same folder as the xls-sheet.
Please try to first save the xls-file to some folder you have full access, like your documents and then try again.

Re: CreateClimateFile Run-time Error: Macros not Working
Hi Christian,
I appreciate your help on this. I figured out why the Excel file was not working, and the problem for me in this case was that ActiveX had been disabled without notification. Once I enabled that in Excel's trust center, I could run the macro.
Thank you again for your help.
