Indoor Climate - ASHRAE 160P

Post by serenewongsa »

At a WUFI class, we were informed that using ASHRAE 160P for the indoor climate is the most accurate option in WUFI 4.1. Could someone give a little crash course on all the variables that i can input in this screen? Such as the floating indor temp shift, set point for heating, moisture generation rate. Thanks.

The set points will depend on your design. That info usually comes from the HVAC engineer.
ASHRAE 160P gives a good methodology you can follow when doing your analysis.
For ASHRAE 160P document go to:
http://www.ashrae.org/technology/page/886
and download the PDF.

The following link is a narrative of ASHRAE 160P.

Be aware that this standard is a public review draft. 160P has still not been officially published by ASHRAE.
