getting rid of .tmp files

I have a large number of .tmp files in the appdata>local>wufi>wufi1D folder, some of them are quite large. Is it OK to simply delete everything in the WUFI1D folder?

Re: DIN53122 permeability conversion

Actually I have just found the data I need, but it would be interesting to understand this conversion anyway!

The vapour resistivity of this material is 11600 MNs/gm.

DIN53122 permeability conversion

I need to include in a wufi model a liquid-applied membrane material for which I only have the water vapour permeability according to DIN 53122. The data sheet says it is 16.5 g.mm/m2(24h). I guess I could convert that to mu or if I knew the test conditions to get the vapour pressures, but I don’t ...

Feature Request

Hello

I have a (simple, I think) feature request.

Please could you move (or copy) the option to save with film/result data into the save as dialogue? I use this feature a lot to generate iterative studies, but it takes a bit longer than it could/should, also it's easy to forget which save 'mode ...

Re: Blowerproof liquid membrane

Hi David

One factor that has crossed my mind with this and similar products (purple passive, Aerosana etc) is that the final vapour resistance will depend on the thickness. I'm not sure how accurately that is controlled, given the manual spray method. would be interesting to get some samples and do ...

exporting all user material data

Hello

I have transferred my Wufi licence to a new computer. Is there an easy way to transfer all my user material data files from one PC to another - I can do them one by one but I have a large collection now, so I hope there is a way to do them all at once?

Thanks

W5p's from Wufi 6?

Hello

I'm working with a colleague who is still using Wufi 5 (I'm on 6.3). Is it possible to save w5p's for him from Wufi 6? If so it is not obvious...

Thanks

Re: Indoor and out door surface thermal resistance

Hello

I found this thread when I was looking for an answer to a related question:
Wufi takes as default the internal surface thermal resistance to be 0.125 m2.W/K. This is close to the value for walls specified in EN6946. Also, EN 13788 specifies that for assessing internal surface mould risk using ...

Re: Representing Salts in Wufi

Hi Manfred

Thanks for this, I should have looked in the help file first... This is useful function, I feel like I have unlocked an achievement in the game that is Wufi! Some of the dialogues are a little awkward to use though. I noticed you can only plot fluxes in Wufi Graph using data from Wufi 2D ...

Representing Salts in Wufi

Hello

We have an interesting project at the moment, a large old house in Scotland which has very high levels of salt content in the masonry. We believe the builders used sand from the beach near to the house, and possibly even used sea water to mix the mortar. The house is also very wet, having ...

Re: Surface Weathering

Hi Tobi

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm aware the Karsten Tube method is not very accurate, but it's better than nothing (if only a little bit better...). We have used it in the past to guide the selection of materials, Thanks for the articles on this subject, I'll let you know how I get on ...

Surface Weathering

Hello

I'm working on a concrete building about 70 years old. To inform material selection within Wufi, we took some core-samples and have completed absorption testing on them (as per BS EN 15148, with a few deviations e.g. the samples were smaller than the standard calls for). We noticed that the ...

Re: How to construct a wall made up with stone blocks and mortar?

Hi Dorita

One approach is to model a 'sandwich' of stone/mortar/stone. This is described by Joseph Little, and 'validated' using a comparison with Wufi 2D in the following document:
