Vertices / Eckpunkte

I have a uniquely shaped building to construct in WuFI. I am attempting to add vertices to construct it, but I keep getting errors saying my data points are invalid. I put in really small fake numbres just to get an entry. It accepted the numbres, but I didn't see the point (I think it was inside the building). Where is 0,0,0 relative to the structure? What is the valid range for new vertices?

Thanks/Danke

What numbers are you trying to input? I think the valid range is from 0 to 300 meters (984 ft), but i think less than 0.1 (0.328 ft) meter doesn't make sense for a simulation model, regarding building component thickness and so on.

x=0, y=0, z=0, is just the starting point, where all other vertices are related to.

What I mean is, where is 0,0,0? Is it at the bottom corner of the building? The vertices seem to go through the middle of buildings. Is it the exact centre?

As for the numbres I was using, I think I already realised the problem with them. Thanks!

0,0,0 is the origin, or starting point all other vertices and with these vertices, the components are related to. There is no special effect on the simulation, where you define this origin.

If it is in the building centre (like the buidling wizzard set it), the advantage is for the visualization. So you can rotate the building around this vertice, respectively the coordinate system axes of this vertex.
