Remind me how to take median from case 1 and make initial conditions for case 2?

Everything concerning the adequate application of WUFI in Ireland & UK depending on local conditions e.g. architecture, building codes, standardization, laws et cetera.

Remind me how to take median from case 1 and make initial conditions for case 2?

Post by Imogen »

Sorry I can't find this anywhere. I am short of time before the student free subscription runs out too1!

So I have my initial case and I want to make 2 new cases for slightly different materials.

Therefore, I want to take the median conditions for case 1 and use them as the initial conditions for cases 2 and 3.
I can't find this in the manual but I know we did it on the WUFI course.
I would appreciate any help with how to do this!

I managed to get the shinyweatherdata sorted finally, but I still don't really get how to simulate summer conditions being cooler and more humid than outside in old stone buildings either... something to do with sine curves for the internal climate?

Thank you!

Hi Imogen,

the way is the following:
1) Outputs -> ASCII-Export -> Profiles
Export the profiles for temperature and water content of the end profile as two separate files.
2) In the Initial Conditions for temperature and moisture go to +Manual settings -> Read from file and select the exported files.

Please note, the columns in the export file need to be tab-separated. You can set that under Project -> Settings -> Export format
