Hi all
I've been following the Guideline for the evaluation and assessment of hygrothermal calculation results.
I understand what it is saying and seems like a useful guide.
However I don't understand the point of assessing condensation risk when the risk of mould growth is inevitably going to be higher.
Why bother assessing for dew point run off?
Thank you
David

Re: Dew point run off risk in mineral fibers vs mould assessment
Hi David,
this guide is more a listing of methods.
I would evaluate the risk of damage, which is more important in your construction situation.
Please keep in mind, that even if mould growth is predicted in the construction, their might be no mould due to biocides, fire retardants etc.
But nobody wants to have water running out of the construction.
Best regards
Christian
