Hello,
i am modelling a brick masonry with unvetilated cavity and insulated timber frame. The graph of the water content of the brick masonry shows unusual spikes (from 30 to 90 kg/m3) in a very short time and at regular intervals which would be very little justifiable by the climate only. I am using a watehr file generated with Meteonorm. Can you please let me know if this is a common outcome and if not how to correct this anomaly?

Hi,
the spikes are related to rain events. That is the typical behavior of a brick masonry with a high a-value.
Have a look in the film (Animation 1D or WUFIMotion2D). There you can see how the water gets distributed when a rain event occurs.
