Solar radiation

Post by JBelanger » Fri Jun 29, 2018 3:50 am -1100

I've imported a custom climate file with temperature, RH, wind speed, wind direction, normal rain and global solar radiation horizontal to WUFI. Everything works fine except for the solar radiation, do I have to include the diffuse or direct solar radiation in the file or WUFI is calculating them?

Thanks

Hi J,
typically there are three solar radiation measurements (WAC names in parenthesis):

Global Horizontal (ISGH)
Direct Horizontal (ISDH)
Diffuse (ISD)

WUFI needs all of them to calculate the proper radiation onto the surface, however only two need to be specify as WUFI calculates the third one out of the following equation:
ISGH=ISDH+ISD
