Corrosion - Performance criteria?

Post by Axelarris » Tue Apr 24, 2018 3:30 pm -1100

I've begun using WUFI-Corr, but I'm not sure what I should be comparing the results to. Are there any standards that can be used to determine if WUFI-Corr results are acceptable?
For example, is 50 microns/year of corrosion too much?

Up to now there are no standards on acceptable transient corrosion progress - that is state of research. The result delivers corrosion rates, where the colors indicate acceptable (green), potentially risky (yellow) and inacceptable conditions (red). The reduction of the metal insert diameter is given in addtion - so you can calculate the strength loss.

Please also check the literature cited in the online help.
