How do I make a Battery Backup Generate Heat in WUFI?

Post by Graumlich »

My residential design has a place for a Battery Backup in the Mech Room to store solar panel power (think Tesla Powerwall, a Generac system, or similar). I'm not looking for info on how to account for their effect on a PV system, I'm looking to include their thermal output in my building system.

They are like a zero-electricity space heater. Is there a way to model this in WUFI? A zero-energy heat source?
(I am currently trying to get a Btu/hr number from various product reps.)

Note: I am not looking for advice on how to *get rid* of this heat source. I am aware that pushing it into a garage would solve the problem, but my building is bermed and already on the cool side, so an extra heat source in the building would be useful.

Thank you for any help you can provide.
(if this topic is already covered elsewhere, please let me know. My search of the forum has so far not found anything.)
