DIN53122 permeability conversion

Post by Toby Cambray » Tue Jun 16, 2020 8:37 pm -1100

I need to include in a wufi model a liquid-applied membrane material for which I only have the water vapour permeability according to DIN 53122. The data sheet says it is 16.5 g.mm/m2(24h). I guess I could convert that to mu or if I knew the test conditions to get the vapour pressures, but I don’t have access to that standard.

Please could you advise how to convert these units into something I can use?

Actually I have just found the data I need, but it would be interesting to understand this conversion anyway!

The vapour resistivity of this material is 11600 MNs/gm.

Hi Toby,
there is paper from BuildDesk describing the conversation including a nice diagram on page 4:
