Changing a material for multiple cases

Post by kevindigo »

Hello,

I have 96 cases. There is just 1 type of assembly and I have modified orientation, insulation thickness, etc (this is a parametric study), which results in the 96 cases. I want to change the wood sheathing to a modified version of the same material, and right now I am manually going to each assembly and changing the sheathing from "Plywood" to "Custom Modified Plywood". I tried to change the material property of "Plywood" in the library directly to see if it would change in all the cases, but it did not.

I have a few hundred cases to change, and I am wondering if there is a faster way to do this. Thanks.

Dear Kevin,

no, unfortunately there is no more simple way, you have to change them manually.

By the way, I would recommend to not handle about 100 cases in one project file, as this may lead to very big file sizes. We had single cases where this crashed saving.
