reflective roof screen

Post by crwc » Wed Jun 02, 2021 2:39 am -1100

Hello,
Is there a way on wufi to model a reflective roof screen? I would also like to model the tiles and the air layer on this screen.
Regards,
crwc

Can you give some more information about the section you like to model?
The short wave absorptivity and long wave emissivity of a surface can be set in the boundary conditions.

Hi Christian,

Thank you for your reply.

Here is in attachment the section I would like to model.

I would like to create a reflective roof screen, but as you said in your reply, these parameters can only be corrected as boundary condition, on the tiles on this case.

And the reflectivity of the tiles can be applied or is deducted by the absorptivity ?

Regards,

crwc

Hi crwc,

the air layer in WUFI contains effective values for the radiation and convection. So if you model the air layer, you can include the radiation effects of your inner surfaces by adapting the air layer.
Please see the WUFI program help on that. Search for "air layers". There is a description how the effective values are calculated.
