Metals - hygrothermal properties

Post by sarinpinich » Mon Jul 22, 2019 10:33 pm -1100

Hi,

I am simulating the rising damp situation in historical wall. And I am making the retrofit case simulations by inserting sheets methods, including steel plates, stainless plates, bitumenbase sheets and lead plates. Moreover I am also interested in systhetic, water repellent mortar. However, I can not find all of those material properties (both basic properties and hygrothermal functions) in Wufi database (I found only the basic data of butimen felt materials). Since the hygrothermal function are really important for rising damp case simulation.I would like to ask how can I get them or could you please suggests the sources of those informations.

Thank you in advance

Hi,
you can create metal materials by yourself.
This was discussed from time to time here in the forum.
Try to search for metal or steel.
You can also create other materials. Use the materials datasheet and try to find an as similar as possible material in the database to adapt.
