Calculate a single wall supposed to the same divided

Hi!

We have a medieval wall which is made up with stone and mortar. The wall is 1,4m thick and the ratio between mortar and stone is estimated. Would it be any difference in calculateing the wall as one unit supposed to 4 smaller walls? The purpose of the calculation is to see the stabelized the water content in the wall in a given climate, and we found it easier to do when the wall is divided.

no, it does not matter if you use a material as one layer or split in into different layers. The sum of the thickness has to be the original thickness of the layer.
