Irish climate file

Everything concerning the adequate application of WUFI in Ireland & UK depending on local conditions e.g. architecture, building codes, standardization, laws et cetera.

Irish climate file

Post by Morris » Mon Mar 03, 2014 5:07 am -1100

Hi all
Does anyone know where I could get my hands on an Irish climate file for use on a final year dissertation.

Thanks.

Hi,

you can check this site:
http://apps1.eere.energy.gov/buildings/ ... me=Ireland
but please check this site first because there is no rain data contained: http://www.wufi.de/frame_en_wetterdaten.html

The other option is to purchase some data: http://meteonorm.com/

AFAIK the problem with Meteonorm is that it doesn't have driving rail data either

Let me correct you: Meteonorm contains normal rain and wind. Only the relation between these both values may be wrong. But it is better then a fill without any rain. You have to use it with care.
Maybe contact Joseph, he recently did a comparison between Meteonorm and measured climate data for Ireland.

Christian
