triangular geometry modelling

Post by BriceWigwam » Mon Apr 08, 2019 9:09 pm -1100

Hi,

Is it possible to model on WUFI 2D a triangular geometry? If we can't, could you tell me how I can simplify this geometry (CF attached file) of thermal bridge.

Many thanks.

Dear Mr. Guenego,

no triangular geometry is not possible in WUFI 2D. Also a simplification is rather difficult - we also have only very little information from the picture you posted.

What risks do you fear? Maybe the problem can be solved by single thermal calculations? Or by a combination of triangular thermal and rectangular hygrothermal simulations. For example the temperature conditions can be influenced by the heat transfer coefficients in a ways that the temperature conditions in WUFI 2D get similar to the calculated ones from a triangular thermal calculation.
