WUFI Normal Rain Sum and Driving Rain Sum Calculation

Post by Alina0826 » Sat Dec 09, 2017 10:19 am -1100

Hello,

I have a question about how to calculate normal rain sum(mm/an)and driving rain sum(mm/an).

WAC File in WUFI is hourly weather data, how can we calculate in annual data?

Thank you!

the weather data include normal rain, wind velocity and direction. The normal rain sum is the sum of the hourly normal rain 1 [mm/h] = 1 [Ltr/m²h]. The driving rain is calculated for each component surface (if it is activated), depeding on the height above ground of each component and different rain load coefficients and absorption coefficients (Setable in the surface/moisture tab), for example ragarding the inclination of an component. To sum this drivin rain on each fassade you can activate the "retain calculation results" in the "Report: data & results" Tab for each component, before starting a simulation. Then after the simulation you can export the simulated hourly Driving rain [Ltr/m²h] for each fassade and sum it, maybee with excel. Both multiplied by the surface area.
